Gentle Tooth Extractions for Children — Comfortable Care When It's Needed Most

We know the word "extraction" can feel overwhelming — but at Honeymint, we make the process as gentle, calm, and stress-free as possible for both you and your child. Sometimes removing a tooth is the kindest thing we can do for a growing smile, and our experienced pediatric dental team is here to make sure it feels that way.

When Is a Tooth Extraction Necessary?

There are several reasons a baby or permanent tooth may need to be removed. A baby tooth with misshapen or long roots may not fall out on its own, blocking the permanent tooth from coming in. Severe decay can put surrounding teeth and the jaw at risk. Infection, orthodontic treatment, or wisdom tooth complications can also make extraction the right call. Whatever the reason, we'll always walk you through the why before we do anything.

What We Offer

At Honeymint, we provide gentle extractions for both baby and permanent teeth, including teeth removed to make room for braces. We also offer a specialized service to remove mesiodens — extra teeth that sometimes grow around or beneath the front teeth — with the same careful, compassionate approach we bring to every procedure.

After the Appointment — What to Expect

Help your little one heal comfortably with these simple guidelines:

  • No straws — suction can disrupt the healing process.

  • Skip the vigorous rinsing and spitting for the first 24 hours.

  • Stick to soft foods — avoid popcorn, pretzels, pizza, crackers, or anything with sharp edges.

  • For discomfort, a children's dose of Advil® or Tylenol® will do the trick.

  • If swelling occurs, apply a cold cloth or ice pack and give us a call right away.
